Tools required for truck diagnosis and programming

Note Engine Lights:

Trucks are built having a quick diagnostic system that runs once the engine is began. If truck lights seriously (or don't venture out following the launch), This means the computer which controls your engine has detected some type of issue in the computer control system and it has saved a "Diagnostic Trouble Code" (DTC) which identifies the fault it's detected.

Note the form from the light or even the code that's proven. The most typical problems shown by the lights and translations for that codes usually start with the letter: P, B, C and U:

"P" codes are Powertrain related, mainly the engine and transmission (i.e. P0201 is really a fault using the #1 injector, P1870 is really a transmission slip fault)

"B" codes are Body related (Warmth/Air Condition, Light circuits, etc.)

"C" codes are Chassis related, mainly ABS

"U" codes are communication codes
